When erotic images were shown, they took larger financial gamble compared to when they were shown pictures that were scary or neutral. The part of the brain that lights up when we see arousing pictures and when we take financial risks is the same. The researchers say that from evolutionary point men have the same needs for money and sex. Another study from Harvard University shows that higher testosterone levels lead to higher financial risk taking.

Is this true for women too? Researchers could not say, since they did not find images that are guaranteed to excite women. But if sex does not induce stupid financial decisions for women, I think they should use shoes instead. I have a feeling it might just work for women.
