Why married women are always busy?
They have husbands. A new research at the University of Michigan found that husbands create about seven hours of extra work per week for their wives.
Marriage is supposed to be a partnership, but when it comes to housework, woman gets most of the broom stick. While men create extra seven hours of work for their wives, women save an hour of housework for their husband. But it is not all bad news for the ladies. Things are getting better over time. In 1976, women spent an average of 26 hours per week, while men did only six hours - a gap of 20 hours. In 2005, the average for women reduced to 17 hours and for men, it increased to 13 hours - a gap of only four hours. Also, the number of hours per week depends on the marital status: 12 hours for young single women; 21 hours for elderly married women; 28 hours for married women with more than three children. For men it works the other way: though older men spend more hours than younger men, single men have to do more work compared to their married friends. I guess having a wife makes them lazy.
We all knew a woman’s work is never done. But now we know why.

Someone should tell my husband. He thinks it is doing his share just by playing with the kids.
reading this report, i feel so special today. my wife is so lucky.
The report is unfair as it does not list what it considers as household work? Do they include stuff like mowing the lawn/washing the cars etc?
