About 200,000. A group is trying to raise money for McGrath Foundation to help breast cancer nurses, and asking women to donate their bras to form the world’s longest underwear chain.

A group in Queensland, Australia, is hoping to break the record of longest underwear chain that currently stands at about 70 miles. What is an underwear chain? Well, it is a chain made solely out of underwear: each bra is hooked to itself to form a ring and those are linked together in a chain. Robert Bauer, an organizer of the group, said so far they have collected about 50,000 bras, and they were planning for a trial round last weekend to see how long chain they can form. They hope to find an estimate of how many more they need to break the record. This effort is going to a good cause: the money will fund a breast cancer nurse for the Bundaberg Base Hospital.

It is not clear if there are no other ways to help fight the breast cancer, or the group is just interested in breaking the record.
